Gadget’s Ipod

For musical taste, Gadget was a once in a lifetime catch, the fish that you always hope you’ll find in the sea, the one that grants you three wishes and gives you a fourth to fix everything when you fuck up the first ones. (Two drinks and some chips every time). Everywhere she went she brought with her a magical little box called an “Ipod”, this futuristic piece of technology (sometimes accompanied by an odd cd player) streamed an assortment of electronic music so varied that it brought us pale-nonbelievers to our knees. With this little box of tunes she escaped in to her own world of silence and solitude, comfort wrapped in a blanket or jacket, and LISTENED to the world go by.

For those of you who never realized, this was one of her little escapist distractions she always flowed towards, yet no human on this planet has influenced my musical tastes as completely as gadget has; In threads and across the documents i’ve introduced you to musical artists, phenomenal tunes, melodies and intense or relaxed harmonies that SHE’S introduced me to.

So i made this page, to be about her taste in music, and as such MY taste in music. Thanks gadget.
I separated em into genres because hey, you might hate some genres and love others. mostly its genres and artists; So if you like electronic music than let’s see what gadget wants to introduce you to today.

Edit: Someone ended up making a playlist on Youtube compiling most of these songs together, so thank Ipod fag on the Discord if you like it – D.:

Edit 2: He also did a playlist for all the songs that were posted in the threads, sort of unrelated for Gadget but this is the best place to put it -D.:

Tunes on Gadget’s Ipod (1990-2008)

-Lots of these songs are old, probably don’t adhere to your ideas of popular music and you can’t be sure some of them weren’t just there to block the world out. These are the ones i remember as i stumble across them in my age. This page will never be finished, you can probably check back weekly until the stories are completely written and there will be new content.

Happy Hardcore

Unluckily a huge problem with linking you youtube videos of Happy Hardcore is that the genre wasn’t technically built just to listen to one song. Each song has about a minute or two of buildup, then 2-4 of the tune itself, and than a 1-2 minute outtro. That’s intentional and it’s entirely designed to be mixed by DJs at some club somewhere so he can match the BPM to the song he played before.
So everything gadget had, were probably DJ sets. Those are about an hour-2 hours long and probably didn’t have the tracklists even available. Just every friggin song you’d ever imagine all jammed together.
This was also Gadget’s favorite Genre, which means she had DAYS of this stuff.

I can only guess at which sets they were, but here’s a pretty good example of what a well-mixed one sounds like

  1. I love this stuff. Brings me to a genre of music I thought was long dead or too obscure to ever imagine finding. Was Gadget ever a rave girl? lol

  2. Great stuff. Last time I listened to electro music was 2012. Drum and Bass especially, later some Dubstep. I know, I know, but for me, there’s a mood for everything. I make little exceptions. It’s not like you can judge me anyway, Storybro, you drown your coffee in milk, sugar, flavors and what not. That’s like, massive coffee genocide, dude. So fuck you.

Whatever, I’m enjoying the fuck out of that playlist right now. Maybe going to make a Spotify playlist if there’s none.

  3. maybe this is a question that has been asked before, but is there a spotify playlist with all the songs of gadget’s iPod?? if so, it would be fucking amazing to have the link 😀
